History REMADE! In the first campaign, the carriers Soho and Lex were sunk and the Allies were taking a beating on the water when their Cruiser force snuk behind the Jap carrier force and annihilated the Invasion fleet! Game over!!! Meanwhile on land, the airfields at Lae and Rabaul took a pasting by the combined efforts of B17s and B26s.
Campaign Part Deux has seen the players remixed and the rules changed to reflect what we have learned from the first one as well as some new evidence gleaned from two new books on the subject. This campaign has been on-going from May 6, 2006. We are now in game turn 0900-1100 hours, May 7. The carnage in this campaign includes 6 Allied CAs, 2 Allied carriers, and several DDs sunk by the Japanese. Meanwhile, the Allies have been busy by sinking the Shoho by a submarine attack, 4 Jap CAs, 1 moored cruiser in Rabaul, and several DDs...and 1 troop transport in the Invasion fleet! The Allies have all but eliminated the Jap air-bases at Lae and Gasmata. Stay tuned!!
CSIII is coming this Fall 2009.
