At the very least, the transmissions from the captain helped to comfort her that
everything hadn't gone to hell on the alien vessel. It also helped her feel
like the decisions she'd been making were right. Kennedy turned to Baxter at
the security station behind her. "Stand-by, but be ready, please."

"Understood," Baxter responded.

She tapped her combadge. =/\= Asimov to Manayah. Standing by. =/\=

And so they waited while they worked from the inside of the ship. Kennedy
wished there was some other way she could help. Right now, they had to
wait...it was in others' hands at the moment. Patience would be what would get
her through this.

"The shuttle is transmitting," the person at engineering reported.

"Forward them here," she said and then the Bridge was filled with Sky Kahani's
voice.

<snip from Pam & Michelle's post> "Kahani to Asimov. You getting this? If so,
transporter room can resume doing it's job." </snip>

"We have it," Dahl responded with a smile. At least they all seemed to be able
to work well together when they needed to. "Return to the Asimov."

With the shuttle returning with both Steele and Kahani, Kennedy felt much better
about the safety of the crew of the Asimov. They only needed to get two more
crew on board.

Getting up, Kennedy moved to where the engineering station was and looked over
the information that had come through with the engineer at that station. She
pointed out areas on the layout. "Have the transporter room start to transport
those in the parts I've indicated," Kennedy instructed. "Those are the areas
where I know the worse victims were being held. Make sure the counselor and
medical crew know which bays they're being transported to."

"Aye."

Kennedy started to make her way back down towards the captain's chair when she
was stopped.

"There's a transmission coming in," the communications officer told her. "It's
a distress signal...coming from inside of the ship."

Kennedy frowned. "Do you have audio?"

"No, I'm afraid that I'm just barely reading it. Definitely Starfleet, but it's
weak."

"Thank you," Kennedy said and walked back down the Bridge.

She tapped her combadge. =/\= Dahl to Manayah. Captain? Is all okay with you?
We're picking up a distress signal from inside the ship. It's Starfleet. =/\=
