Some counties have a government service center (which usually also hosts things
like the DMV or other offices that need a point of contact with the public), and
they might have meeting rooms. If so, they're usually yours for the reserving
(though this might be too short a notice). And in spite of the sterile name for
the center, the rooms aren't dingy basements, at least not in my experience.
They're nice, carpeted and climate-controlled with folding tables and chairs.
But your location may vary.
