Annon thanked Emmeline for escorting him to an infirmary cot, by
planting a playful kiss on his fair cousin's cheek. "Thanks Coz! But
I could think of several better places in the castle, were you could
see to my well being in a more private setting." He teased her, but
winced a bit from pain, as he be bent to sit down on the cot.
Annon fumbled around a bit in his shirt till he brought out a silver
flask and raised it to his lips. Though his red headed Aunt
snatched his flask from him in mid gulp. She firmly pushed him flat
down onto the cot, and splashed some of the contents of the flask,
onto a large open wound on his leg.
"Ouch!" He cried out more in surprize then pain.
"That's a much better use for this scotch just now, young man."
Fiona said matter of factly as she examined his wounds, by poking
and proding them with several sharp metal instraments.
"Seems that Someone in the Courts sent you an invitation, that was
not well received, I see. Fortunately the poison was meant to
immoblize and not kill you."
"Gee I'll have to thank that Someone, next time I'm there." Annon
quiped.
"That's not really a bad idea at all. I'll have to recommend that to
Eric. We could use a bit of new info from the Courts. It would help
me on my research into this odd activity with the pulse."
Annon gave is Aunt a look of sudden disblief, before rolling his
eyes, and putting his head back onto the cot.

I am here and I know Julene is about, and I talked to
Mike and Jenny the other day. Also I think Joyce and
Beth proposed an intrest.
We just need a jump start.

Why don't we just NPC the elders ourselves as we find the need to?
Seems like Mike and Jenny don't have the time needed to devote to
running them full time. I suggest just picking up the individual
threads where they left off and start creating our own storylines.
Everyone here seems a capable enough writer to pull that off.

I agree, but I need to, I guess get away from Deirdre
unless Michael will pick up the task of NPCing her ^_^

Hello Cousins,
Well it's a whole new year here on shadow earth !!!
I look forward to getting things started in the new format
laid out before us. So with that said, let's do some discussions
on how to get things started.
It would certainly be a welcome opportunity for me to get some fun back into my life. I know I've been absent...the last couple of years haven't really been helpful when it comes to playing a happy-go-lucky character. I'd like to join in again...that is, if everyone else is okay with that?

P.S. Mike, if you're going to change your e-mails, it's a good idea to tell people. I've tried three times to mail you, had no bounces...just let me know. Ok?

I've been doing a good deal of "cooperative writing" for another group since I
left SOD and have *loved* the format. If you're all decided on switching format here to a more co-operative, less linear writing environment, I could be persuaded to come back (LOL. Twist my arm... please!)
And Joyce, please continue with Sophia. You've done a wonderful job making her your own. Besides... I've a whole host of different ideas for characters to annoy my fellow writers :-D
Beth (aka the less lovable Sophia. heh.)
P.S. Anyone with ideas for stories that they'd like to write for their characters, please contact me. I'd love to participate if I can.

I would be more than willing to contunue as well, I have finals these next couple of weeks. Other than that, I do have some ideas that I had been kicking around when we were active that might be entertaining and tie up alot of loose ends.
If we get some kind of agreement together, we can discuss how to apply this, and if you want to keep
your characters, still use the Amber DRPG system, etc. at that time.
Again, sorry for not being here... I'm hoping that perhaps with players being given much more control of their own subplots and general lives will give us all the chance

I would like to see how many other players are still about too. I am more then willing to continue as Veronica.

This is not the first time that I've written one of these posts, and
knowing me, it won't be the last. A mixture of work and other
distractions, some of which I cannot excuse myself for, have kept me
from doing my job as the Moderator/GM of this group, and for that I am
truly sorry. Because of this, and after reading an OOC post from
Harrick's player, I've decided to ask you, the players, where you want
to go from here.
I've talked with a couple of the players, and an idea has been that
SOD becomes more of a freeform game. Players themselves control things
like subplot and personal situations, especially within Shadow, and
one or more of us could figure out plot ideas and apply them to other
players (with their permission, obviously). This method is sometimes
also known as 'cooperative writing', and while it would still be
roleplaying in one sense, it would also have more in keeping with
storytelling as well.
I personally am in favor of this, and would like to hear your views on
it in a reply to this post.
If we get some kind of agreement together, we can discuss how to apply
this, and if you want to keep your characters, still use the Amber
DRPG system, etc. at that time.
Again, sorry for not being here... I'm hoping that perhaps with
players being given much more control of their own subplots and
general lives will give us all the chance to continue to play in the
Amber setting with one another.

No I'm not going to leave. I'm writing this letter to thank you all for your not wanting to kill me for my lateness to reply. As some of you know I had family in New Orleans and for a time didn't know how they were. Once we found out where my grandparents were we got to them and thankfully all are well and are in Northern California. I have been busy helping them get use to the bay area and taking care of my classes. As now normal is back to my doorstep I will reply in 24 hours and thank everyone for their kindness in not sending blacken roses to me.

Annon accepted Patrick's assistance and offered no protest as he was
led away toward the castle. "Thank you Patrick for your help and
advice. Could you also send for others to the search the grounds and

It took Harrick less than two paces to close the gap between himself and those who were attempting to get close to Jocelyn. Even as he moved, one of them drew back a small hand-club and tried to hit the girl, but she danced surprisingly fast out of reach, and the man's momentum carried him in front of the other, making him far easier for Harrick to reach.
Harrick made towards the nearest of the 2, watching him, for any movement, waiting for him to make a move towards him, or make an attack. Getting with in striking distance, harrick made a swift grab for the assailants throat, quickly moving his leg behind his opponents leg and pushing him backwards, forcing him down, and then quickly crushing the mans neck in his hand. Raising to his feet, Harrick then quickly made towards the final assailant, running quickly to jump the guy as he approached the youngster. On approaching him, harrick quickly grabbed his head, twisting sharp and hard, as to snap his neck.
with all assailants dead, Harrick approached the youngster "your safe now, I apologise, that I was so slow to react, I can assure you, it will not happen again, it would appear, Rebma is not as safe for you, as your mother would have hoped, and your safety has been placed in my hands. So I intend we leave here now, and go somewhere, where your chances of survival are greatly increased".
with this Harrick started back towards the beach "Once we have reached, where I intend to go, I shall ofcourse inform your mother of where we are, and why".
