Absolutely true ... but I would say play the scenario and then see what you
think afterwards. Would love to hear your feedback.
And then maybe play it with the EL's as not being Key or half key, and then you
can tell or better judge how this effects the scenario, hopefully Coz & I can
play this again with some other guys in our club to better see first hand too.
But anyway, the whole point was that we introduced new players to Armati for the
2nd time in a month using big Scenarios and it has been successful and very
enjoyable. Which is what really matters :)
Thanks

Elephants ran past/through the Romans and were never a factor in the battle, but
in this game there is no way to simulate that, so the EL's were going to be a
factor in the outcome of the battle so if we (or you) made the EL's not Key,it
would be unfair to the Romans and would make the Carthaginian army to strong,
and hence an unbalanced game/scenario.

role. they represent 'how' Hannibal hoped to win it. The issue about 'lanes'
is a bit of a red herring (it is 'simulated' in the slightly generous ability of
light troops to defeat elephants).

The Carthage right side player never got his Vets into action due to blocking
them with his own troops, if he was able to get them in, things would be very
different.
