Those of you who are HMGS members may have received ballots in the mail for this
year's election for the national HMGS Board of Directors. If any of you have
looked at the ballot, you may have seen something very odd about it: my name,
listed as a candidate.
I've been persuaded to run for the national Board; a number of people who know
me from my Aerodrome games, as well as participation in the various HMGS
conventions, have conveyed to me that my business experience and expertise might
actually prove valuable to HMGS, especially in light of the turmoil, changes
(Historicon 2010 moving to Baltimore, for example) and problems of recent years.
I am therefore soliciting the votes of Aerodrome enthusiasts who are HMGS
members. If you are not an HMGS member but know people who are, please recommend
my candidacy to them, if you feel that you can do so in good conscience. Spread
the word, please. And if you have any thoughts or questions, I'd be happy to
discuss them; email me at sfkubiak4hmgsboard@...
Thanks for your support! (he said optimistically)
