Re: Question regarding Werewoolf the Apocalypse and the other Breeds

I can see the Children of Gaia and the Silent Striders working with
the Garou. The tribes I had originally thought of allowing were
Black Furies, Bone Gnawers, Children of Gaia, Fianna, Glass Walkers,
1 Red Talon character, Silent Striders, Uktena, and Wendigo. I
decided to not allow the Get of Fenris due to them being ultra
violent, the Shadow Lords were omitted as noone in the group is
ready to play a Lord and give it justice, and the Silver Fangs were
banned as I dont want any player trying to take over leadership
based on tribe alone. I was thinking various Bastet tribes would
work, maybe the Bagheera, Bubasti, Ceilican, Pumonoca, Qualmi, and
Swara. The Balam are from South and Central America so I didn't
really see a way to fit them in with the Striders. The Khan and
Simba I didn't want in due to their sheer ferocity, plus I may be
using Black Tooth later in the chronicle and I would prefer to not
have a player side with an antagonist. For the most part, my gaming
group is pretty mature, with a small streak of playful immaturity.
One other factor that needs to be considered is one of the players
has a 12 year old son who will also be playing. He is pretty mature
for his ripe old age, but I still want to keep things at a level
where he can understand and enjoy the game while not "Disney-fying"
the other players. I'm still in the planning process right now. I
doubt I will start the game before the year ends. I want to research
and plan it all out, come up with NPC's, plot devices and hooks,
fetishes, spirits, as well as map out the start point (Rite of
Passage) to the finish point (Apocalypse). Thanks for the input
James, I really appreciate it.

I'm considering running a WW chronicle but I want to include some of the other shapeshifters. I know the Ananasi, Nagah, Ratkin, and Rokea don't normally work...

First and foremost it depends on the maturity of your players and their willingness to bend their characters to make the Chronicle work. This can be done...

I imagine that the 12 year old is going to be a cub. I run a live Werewolf game and have a 14 year old (again a son of one of the players) who I allow to play...

That makes perfect sense James. As a Child of Gaia, he would be more accepting of other Garou and breeds, as an Ahroun, he will be able to fight and still be a...

I think you are right about not allowing the Get of Fenris, the other two really depends on how you want the game to run. If it is just based around one Sept...

I'm in a WW campaign that combines Fera and Garou, you're right.. most Fera need a reason to be there since some of them still hold a grudge because of the War...
