It seems to me that although Renegade Legion FASA figures are very good, there
are problems with them, as with other ranges, in that they seek to represent
hardware of forces which exist in a large interstellar volume, and therefore
differences in hardware are likely to be quite large, as much in appearance as
TLs.
However, RL is set so far into the future that I'm not sure the word 'tank' can
even be applied any more. It would be somewhat like talking about chariots in
armed forces today!
I do however like the idea of conversion and particularly scratch-building
miniatures for games, if not necessarily from modern microarmour. As I once
suggested in a Traveller group, it will probably be more economic to manufacture
counter-gravity vehicles when technology for that matures than going back to
setting up production lines for tracked and wheeled vehicles. Its just a matter
of economics. The idea that 20th century designs would be used in far future,
even Traveller never mind RL, is to me hard to accept.
What would really be good is a blog about scratch-building sci-fi miniatures.
Although, with stereolithography the possibilities seem endless in terms of
miniatures.

miniatures and conversions will be featured of Modern Microarmor, various Sci-Fi
manufacturers, and anything I generally find useful.
