I have had some critics for posting the message below.
I will address them briefly:
1. To the person accusing me of "proselytizing":
A. The message below did not ask anyone to convert to any faith, it was simply
in support of the free exercise of religion. This is a right those of us in the
free world cherish, and those who are not, envy. If you are offended by support
for this freedom then, get over it.
B. Most fundamental freedoms mean that other people will do or say things you
do not like. Freedom of speech means that other people will say things you
don't like. Freedom of the press means that publishers will print things you
don't like. And freedom of religion means that other people will have the
freedom to practice their religion, including "proselytizing" and
"evangelizing". Your right not to believe, hinges on their right to
proselytize. If you claim a freedom not to believe, you have already accented
to others proselytizing. Freedom of religion, like the others, means other
people will do things you don't like.
C. Do you have the right to proselytize here? No, because this is a "press" and
as Patrick Henry said "freedom of the press belongs to him who owns one.
